This website has been designed to tell you about the practice and the services that we offer. Please read it carefully. We trust that you will find it helpful and informative.

WELCOME TO THE PRACTICE

This is an old established practice founded by Dr Staley in the 1890s. The practice was originally located on The Crescent in St Annes and was purely homeopathic. Later it moved to Wood Street, then to Park Road in 1987. Today the practice is housed in modern premises in Durham Avenue (off St David's Road North).

We have tried to build on the reputation of the past to provide efficient yet friendly health care. As well as looking after your needs when you are ill, we think it is extremely important to give help and advice on how to live a long and healthy life.

The practice team consists of three full-time partners plus a salaried GP, two practice nurses, a primary care assistant, a health visitor, two phlebotomists, community district nurses, a community midwife, a practice manager, a secretary, a reception manager, 12 part-time receptionists.

Practice News and Notices

We would like to take this opportunity to thank the three patients who have recently bought the practice medical equipment, a new ear syringer, two nebulisers and a portable ECG machine to enable our GP's or Practice Nurses to do an ECG either downstairs in the surgery or at the patients home. We cannot thank them enough for their generosity. On another note the "FLU" Season is nearly upon us and as such we have ordered our vaccinations, we hope that there will not be a delay this year. It is highly recommended that patients who have a chronic disease such as Diabetes, Asthma, and COPD have this vaccination, it is also highly recommended that patients who are 65 or over be vaccinated against pneumonia, this is a one off vaccination it is possible to do both vaccinations at our "Flu Clinics" which we are arranging now so please look out for the clinic dates and time either call in to the practice, telephone us or check on our website. Our Practice Nurse's will be doing our Housebound patients, and patients resident in a Nursing or Rest Home.
