HOW DO I.... OBTAIN A REPEAT PRESCRIPTION?
The ordering of your prescription can be done either by dropping your request form into the red box in the hall, faxing your request to the practice on (01253) 655681 or clicking on the gateway below (you will need to register for EMIS access at the practice first). If necessary, you may ask your regular chemist to order your medication on your behalf. Please allow at least two complete working days before collection and make allowances for weekends and public holidays. Where possible, please give exact drug names when ordering.
We operate a "repeat dispensing service" whereby patients who fit the requirement and follow the GP’s advice (which is of the utmost importance) can order their repeats from their chosen chemist/pharmacy.
We operate a test result telephone service which is available on weekends from 08.00 to 18.00. Please allow at least two to three weeks before ringing up for results. However, if a test result comes back needing urgent action or follow-up, we will inform you of this either by telephone or letter. Please be reminded that the only message we will leave on an answering machine or mobile voicemail will be for you to contact the practice.
Results will only be given to the patient, not to any other members of their family. If, for any reason, this is not possible, then the practice needs written authority from the patient giving their permission for such access.
